Saliguard® BDHA is a paraben free preservative with broad spectrum activity that is made from a combination of Benzyl Alcohol and Dehydroacetic Acid. With a low toxicity profile and global acceptance, this water soluble is compatible with a diverse range of products including cation, nonionic and anionic systems in leave-on and rinse-off formulations including hair care, skin care, baby products, surfactants, shampoos blends, conditioner blends. It provides excellent protection at pH 6.5, but can be used in a pH range of 2.0-7.0 at a dosage of 0.2% to 0.8%.
