Gentian Herbasol® Extract PG (PF) is an aqueous-propyleneglycolic extract from Gentian roots (Radix Gentianae). Gentian (Gentiana lutea) in the Gentianaceae, a family of alpine herbaceous flowering plants and shrubs, is a perennial herb which grows up to 1.8 metres high. The root which is thick and long, produces an erect stem with short, stalkless, yellowish leaves. Yellow flowers appear in the spring. Occurs chiefly about 4000 feet above sea level and are native to Europe and Asia Minor, but now distributed worldwide. It is now cultivated.
